So it's taken us a while, but Ben and I
finally did our room. I
absolutely love it! Now keep in mind that I'm almost done with the quilt I'm making for our bed spread. The one that's on there now my dad made for me. :) Don't I have an awesome dad?!
So I made these blocks. Ben cut the wood for me. I love them.
I got two of these frames at a garage sale and painted them.
This is one of my favorite parts. I got this mirror and dresser from
KSL and painted them. They turned out super cute. (I also painted the nightstand, next picture)
Our romantic bed. I have wanted a bed like this ever since I was little.
We got mirrors on our closets. I think they make the room look bigger. And I can actually see what I look like before I go out the door.

So the antique ish look is soooo easy! You just water down brown paint and brush is on VERY lightly with a sponge brush.

it is gorgeous! I like the dresser best, but what is this KSL you speak of? Is there one in my neighborhood? Can I go there and find such treasures? I'm not up to snuff on this acronym. By the way, Katrina and I were in Borders Saturday, saw some funny little pirate toys, thought of Ben :) we love that guy.
You are so funny Aunt Heidi. All pirate parafinalia(sp) reminds me of Ben too. :) KSL is just our newspaper, but online. So you just go to the classifieds. In your area you for sure have craigslist.com very similar. Check it out.
